Monotype Matrix Handy Index (1955)
Handy Index of 'Monotype' Rental Matrices. (Philadelphia: Lanston Monotype Machine Company, 1955). Printing code: "A39-8M-7-55" [hence my assumption that this dates from 1955].
Index of Monotype Rental Matrices (1970)
Index of Monotype Rental Matrices (Library Fonts). (Philadelphia: Lanston Monotype Machine Company, 1970). Printing code: "2-70". This says that it supersedes a 24 page "Handy Index of Monotype Rental Matrices." The 1955 version above, though, is only 15 pages.
No. 790, Stymie Bold, 16 & 21 Point
This is an "Advance Proof" (but really just an adverting sheet) for new cuttings of Series No. 790, Stymie Bold, in 16 point and 21 point. (It is not a part of {MTF1}; I obtained it as a separate sheet.)
The icon to the left links to a JPEG version of this Advance Proof, which is probably sufficient. It is 5.6 Megabytes. If for some reason you need the 21 Megabyte PNG version, click here:
[Display Matrix Box Insert] 864-6-17 7M-E
This is the insert pasted inside a typical Lanston Monotype display matrix box. This version is coded "864-6-17 7M-E" and its text dates, presumably, from 1917. It explains the lower markings on display matrices and gives brief instructions for the care of matrices.
[Display Matrix Box Insert] 864-8-21-6M-Fr
This is the insert pasted inside a typical Lanston Monotype display matrix box. This version is coded "864-8-21-6M-Fr" and its text dates, presumably, from 1921.
[Display Matrix Box Insert] 864-2-26-10M-O
This is the insert pasted inside a typical Lanston Monotype display matrix box. This version is coded "864-2-26-10M-O" and its text dates, presumably, from 1926.
