Donnelly cites Steve Rova as both a repairer of George Rhoads' sculptures and as an independent sculptor working out of this medium from his studio in Washington. I know nothing more than this.
I have been told that Charles and Ray Eames created "musical towers" in which balls were forced up the tower by air-pumps and then descended, striking metal bars. The reference here is a documentary called The Eames Design. (Thanks to "Steamboat Ed" Haas (steamer@west.net))
